This Privacy Policy describes how Fazey ("we", "us", "the App") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Photos You Upload
When you use a transformation, the photo you upload is sent to our backend service and forwarded to our AI provider (currently OpenAI) for processing. The transformed image is returned to you. We do not store the original or transformed photos on our servers beyond the duration of the request, and we do not use your photos to train any AI model.
1.2 Subscription & Account Data
When you subscribe to Pro through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We receive a transaction identifier from Apple to verify your subscription status, but we do not receive your credit-card details or full Apple ID.
1.3 Device & Usage Data
We may collect anonymized technical data to operate the App, such as device model, iOS version, app version, and which features are used. This data is not linked to your identity.
1.4 Crash & Diagnostic Data
If the App crashes or encounters an error, anonymized diagnostic information may be sent to us via Apple's standard crash reporting (with your consent in iOS Settings).

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each has its own privacy policy:
- OpenAI — processes your photos to generate transformations. OpenAI Privacy Policy
- Apple App Store — handles payments and subscription billing.
- [Your hosting provider, e.g., Render/Fly.io] — hosts our backend infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit, secure backend infrastructure, and strict access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent for optional processing

6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
7. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the country where our backend is hosted, your data may be transferred to and processed in another country. We use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data-protection laws.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents may request disclosure of categories of personal information we collect, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. European Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the legal bases for processing your data are: (a) performance of a contract (delivering the App's features), (b) legitimate interests (improving the App, fraud prevention), and (c) consent (where applicable). You have the rights described in Section 5.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
